Ginger Agency Welcomes Jess Stutt as New VP of Strategy & Impact

Ginger Agency is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jess Stutt as Vice President, Strategy & Impact.

With extensive experience and a client-focused approach to strategic marketing and communications, Jess is poised to significantly impact Ginger Agency, driving growth and delivering results for clients across Atlantic Canada and beyond.

Originally from Ontario, Jess’s career spans government communications, tech industry marketing, B2B and strategic roles in academia. She brings a wealth of experience and a client-focused perspective to the agency. This equips her with a deep understanding of the intersection between strategy and marketing.

“Marketing is the growth engine of any organization,” Jess explained. “It’s not just about the look and feel of the brand; it’s about driving the results the client is looking to achieve.”

This strategic perspective is something Jess is excited to bring to Ginger Agency.

“Ginger is driven by a partnership mindset, and our clients are looking for strategic support in whatever their project or scope of work is,” Jess said. “We build meaningful brands by being that meeting place of strategic and creative excellence.”

She emphasized the importance of understanding client objectives from the outset to ensure that all efforts are aligned with achieving measurable results.

In her new role, Jess will focus on growing Ginger’s strategic offerings and enhancing project management skills to better facilitate the larger-scale projects that clients increasingly demand.

“Clients need more help with strategy, more help with growth, more help beyond project-based work,” she explained. “This role will better facilitate that for our clients and help work with our team to deliver that.”

Throughout her career, Jess has held roles in government communications and tech marketing, notably with Salesforce following its acquisition of Radian6.

“I fell in love with working in tech, the vibrant atmosphere, and the exciting work,” she says of her time at Salesforce.

Her most recent role as Marketing Director at LuminUltra, a New Brunswick success story, saw her navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“LuminUltra quickly stepped up and provided much-needed testing supplies in those very early days when they were really hard to come by,” Jess notes. This experience, along with her varied career, has given her unique insights into different industries and organizational needs.

Joining Ginger Agency represents a full-circle moment for Jess, who has long admired the company’s growth and community involvement. “I’ve been watching Ginger’s growth trajectory for years,” she says. “To be a part of that journey now is really exciting for me.”

The move to Ginger also marks a reunion of sorts with Sarah Martell, president of Ginger Agency, who Jess worked with at UNB for several years.

“Getting to work with Jess again feels like the best gift. I feel incredibly lucky and privileged to have this chance, and I’m excited for our clients and team to experience the same,” Sarah said. “Jess is not just a brilliant marketing mind; she’s a powerhouse of strategic insight, business acumen, and intelligence. Her presence will make our clients, our team, and our work better in every way. I couldn’t be happier to have her on the Ginger team.”

Outside of work, Jess is a proud mother of two boys, Jack and Sammy, and said she is grateful for the support of her family, here in New Brunswick.

“My husband, Pete, and I are lucky to have both our families nearby in Fredericton, which means our boys get a lot of quality time with their grandparents, aunts, and uncles.”
